    • A decade old and this Petite Sirah has barely blinked an eye. The power and structure expected in Balistreri Petites lives on in this exceptional vintage. However, in its age the wine has grown tender and soft, sporting a vulnerable and eloquent side draped over its masculine exterior. This Petite is primarily earthy, giving aromas of black licorice, spiced soils and garnet hard candies. Fruit flavors are subtle and dance behind cocoa, black plum skin, and bitter violet petals. Finishing this wine you will notice a lingering robust tannin—showcasing its continued longevity while making you beg for rich demi sauces & filets.

    • This Merlot is nothing short of amazing. To have such power and elegance balanced alongside forward and welcoming fruit demonstrates what Merlot is capable of. While Merlot is sometimes overlooked, this wine will pull you in and demand your attention. Aromas of dark wild fruit dance and play alongside hints of vanilla and cream. Expecting your first sip to be heavy and rich, this Lovies Merlot splashes you with an energetic surprise of exciting juicy blackberry and fresh acidity. Then comes the power. The finish has ample tannin - great for aging or with food - tossing you flavors of powdered popping fruit and baking cocoa. This is a Merlot unlike most, and a real treat from this special vineyard.

    • A delicious and must have Cabernet - the 2019 vintage for Lovies wines is truly exceptional. The fruit here is deep red and very ripe. You will see raspberry and black cherry on the nose that seamlessly transition to the palate. This wine was in very old barrels which makes the fruit and terroir center stage, setting itself far away from an "oaky" Cab. That is also why the earth tones are so exciting! Chocolate, baking spices, and savory flavors offer you a velvety and rich wine. Strong youthful tannins make this Cabernet Sauvignon great to share with your Valentine or to cellar and savor in years to come.

    • This special Pinot Noir was grown in the West Elks AVA of Colorado. It was farmed with biodynamic principles, without the use of chemical sprays, instead preferring holistic and natural approaches in the vineyard. As always, we produced the wine without chemicals or sulfites, fermenting the fruit whole cluster on it's own wild yeasts. Coming from a cooler climate than the rest of our wines, this beautiful Pinot Noir has tremendous energy and lift. The acidity is backed by sturdy tannins on an otherwise light bodied wine. Only two barrels of this special Pinot Noir were made.

It’s rich and full bodied with plenty of dark fruit character that makes it a perfect pairing for red meat. Though this wine spent time in a new barrel, there’s still plenty of herbal spice notes that seem to amplify as the wine gets air - a hint as to how this bottle may develop in the cellar.
