A fan favorite is back! Our October wine of the month is our juicy 2022 American Sangiovese and it is sure to be a crowd pleaser! Cream and red licorice aromas welcome you into strawberry jam and pie cherry flavors on the palate. Just when you think that’s all there is, a subtle sweet tobacco finish rounds out the bright flavors.
The 2022 Vintage Celebrates 25 Years of Natural Balistreri Wine
You may notice the sticker on our 2022 bottles, celebrating the 25th vintage of natural Balistreri Wine! We are excited to share these great natural wines with you, and this 2022 Sangiovese is the first of many more great new wines to come!
What is Sangiovese?
Sangiovese is an Italian grape varietal. The name is derived from the latin sanguis Jovis, or “the blood of Jupiter”. This varietal is medium bodied which makes it approachable for those new to wine, but still exciting enough for avid wine drinkers. It’ll be a welcome addition to your next dinner party. In our opinion, it begs to be paired with a red sauce pasta!
