We are happy to introduce our second vintage of Barbera! If you enjoyed a sneak peak of this wine at our annual October Harvest Party, or remember the 2021 vintage, then you may recall their eye catching color. Though, this 2022 is much more deep garnet than the mulberry purple of its predecessor. Fermenting quickly then pressed directly to new barrels, this vintage is a sumptuous display of dark plump fruit and deliciously complex oak flavors – the latter of which gives savory tastes of Tahitian vanilla and dark toasted coconut. Intense fruit flavors uniquely give elements of cherry, complimented also by plum. The new barrel gives a soft, low tannin, and textured finish with lingering sensations of sweet black plum.
This Month’s wine was chosen as an ideal red to compliment any summer grilling endeavors. While flavors lean on a more dark spectrum, the wine maintains a juicy, fruit forward, and medium disposition – approachable and casual, yet compelling to the connoisseur. This vintage of Barbera is a wine for everyone and anyone! We hope you share and enjoy it this July and many months to come.
