This month we present a fierce wine, rearing and ready to be shown off over a romantic Valentines Day dinner or with Super Bowl chili! The newly released Alicante Bouschet is sure to intrigue any lover varietals similar to Syrah. This vintage is much more spicy and peppered than years past. Aromas are intense with peppercorn, baked plum, roasted red apple, and gamey. Savory is its defining feature, staying rich across the palate and teetering skillfully between flavors of fruit, spiced earth, and lush textures. The 2023 shows the dynamic nature not only of this varietal, but also the exciting variance across vintages that occurs in naturally made wines.
