2019 Carignan
- $34.00
- This Carignan was aged in neutral American oak barrels. Fresh out of the bottle it shows tart plum and raspberry on the nose. As it opens up though the fruit moves more towards a dried or candied fruit with a touch of baking spice. The mouthfeel is very juicy and bursting with cranberry and red flavors. It has a good tannin structure that balances the fruit and riper qualities of the wine beautifully. We personally enjoy these riper styles of wine when they are younger (between 1 and 5 years of age) as they really highlight the bursting fruit flavors and lovely smooth tannin structure.

2020 Primitivo | American
- $32.00
- Primitivo - Whoa, tropical fruit! Guava nectar and strawberry swirl from the glass. The palate is giving and offers up bright flavors of peach, nectarine, guava and grapefruit pith. There is certainly dark fruit throughout, but sheltered in a playful tropical perfume. If you’re not familiar with Primitivo, it is the Adriatic equivalent to Zinfandel.

2019 American Sangiovese -24 Month Barrel Aged
- $34.00
- Sangiovese - a traditional Italian varietal that we at Balistreri have been producing since our second vintage in 1999! Sourced from old vines in the Amador Country growing region of California, these grapes were crushed and fermented here in Colorado and aged for 2 whole years in the barrel. The extended time in old oak barrels presents rustic sensation of roasted cherries, almonds, fresh earth and tobacco on the palate to this Sangiovese - akin to its classic Chianti counterparts.

2020 Petite Sirah | American
- $48.00
- Petite Sirah - When we think of Winemaker John Balistreri there are a few specific varietals that come to mind, Petite Sirah being one of them. He has always loved this grape for its intensity, lush mouthfeel, and ability to age. This 2020 Petite is no exception. John's style focuses on showcasing the fruit that the varietal has to offer, so in this 100% Petite Sirah you wont see oak or other influences. It is delicious intense plum up front and big tannin on the finish. Awesome to drink young but this wine has what it takes for the long haul. Cheers!
