Our new Sauvignon Blanc is pretty and daring—inviting aromas of white flower, peach skin, sweet grass, and peach juice. The palate gives clarity to pure white peach, dried lime wheel and crisp mineral flavors. This new Merlot is structured, showcasing immense posture as it presents dynamic flavors of dark red fruit, violet floral qualities, and youthful robust tannins. A Merlot that over-delivers for those wanting heavier wines, but balances itself with complimenting acidity and liveliness from such an approachable vintage. If its been a while since you’ve tried a Balistreri Merlot, here’s a exciting reminder! Or, if Merlots are just not your thing, have a sip and let this new 2023 change your mind.

An oaked Cabernet, that is not bitter with cedar and harsh tannin. Aromas of fresh coffee, coconut, subtle cocoa and blueberry lure you in like mocha and oven baked pie. Dark fruit is made lush and softened in its youth from the new oak, then balanced with savory flavors of the varietal and hints of toasted hazelnut. Only 6 months in the barrel to make sure the oak was left in check, it’s a wine of immense pleasure now, but will age many more years to come.

One of our best Petite Sirah from one of its best vintages. Aromas of Cola and cherry set the stage for cocoa powder and sweet cranberry flavors. Take your time and be sure to continue swirling the wine, allowing for it to open up and experience the full depth and range it has to offer. This fantastic vintage finishes smooth but with retained tannin and structure! The wine is drinking in a really great place right now and we love sharing it every chance we get! Be sure to decant and enjoy its complex flavors at least an hour after opened. Cheers!

The cherished 2014 was deep with wild berry flavors in its youth—lacking that famous intensity of spice and peppercorn Horse Mountain Vineyard is known for. Regardless, the wine was ripe and lush, though we knew one day it would bring about that black peppercorn, dynamic spice. A decade later, this Syrah is as spicy as ever! With a lot of the tannin mellowed and aged out, the wine is more delicate in some ways, and more intense in others! Fruit has moved away from dark purple berry, and is now red and savory with raspberry. A wonderful wine, perfect with prime rib and fit to impress at the Holiday dinner table, and sure to make those Syrah enthusiasts fall in love.

Decant and allow this wine to breath for at least an hour to unfold the classic tart cherry and raspberry we’ve all come to love from Horse Mountain.
