After a much lighter vintage, this new 2023 is exactly what we expect from the very small half acre plot of Talbott grown Zinfandel. Jammy fruit flavors of red plum kick things off as this Zin bobs and weaves around complex spice and herbal notes— a delightful result of this wine’s 100% whole cluster fermentation. Spice, soft tannin and lush fruit, come together in a harmonious and diverse conclusion fit for this iconic Balistreri Zinfandel. Only 3 barrels produced—get a bottle before its gone!

This new 2023 vintage of Talbott Vineyard Zinfandel is sure to be one of our finest. You may recall last years to be much more light and not as jammy or robust as we normally see. This wine is like the 2009 or 2015 – complex, jammy, decadent. At first the aromas come off fresh and vibrant, but with air you will see spice, and savory herbal tones cling to the glasses edge. The palate is fruit driven and lush with flavors of ripe red plum, pomegranate, and bruised strawberry. This Zinfandel is the perfect pairing with Thanksgiving dinner, and we’re so happy to be sharing this limited release of such a special wine.
