Sangiovese is finally back in the tasting room! The 2023 is an exceptional one and the most full bodied vintage since 2018. Wielding a big 16% alcohol, the wine does so responsibly – showcasing a tunnel of rich and heavily ripened fruit. So ripe, the wine may deceive you into being slightly sweet on the tip of the tongue. The flavors lean sticky, raspberry reduction and black cherry compote that coats your palate. Transition is long and lingering as the wine finishes cocoa, cherry skin, and robust with dry tannin. This vintage is decadent and heavy in body, suited for any sort of food that can equally match its power and sumptuousness.
