An excellent and unique vintage of Alicante Bouchet. It is only our 4th, but what an outstanding expression of this rare varietal! The nose is dynamic with spice, both baking and a touch of peppercorn. With air you may see the spice shine more on this wine’s finish. Plenty of dark fruit flavors occupy the nose and palate in the form of blood plum and roasted red apple skin, alongside subtle savory elements of dried meats. We think this vintage is exquisitely balanced, and very savory!

Description
The newly released Alicante Bouschet is sure to intrigue any lover of Syrah. This vintage is much more spicy and peppered than years past. Aromas are intense with peppercorn, baked plum, roasted red apple, and gamey. Savory is its defining feature, staying rich across the palate and teetering skillfully between flavors of fruit, spiced earth, and lush textures. The 2023 shows the dynamic nature not only of this varietal, but also the exciting variance across vintages that occurs in naturally made wines.
