Current Balistreri Wine List

Below you will find a list of our current featured wine list. They are organized in terms of body with our “white” wines first, followed by lighter reds, bold reds and finally dessert wines.

Our wines are made completely naturally without the use of sulfites or other additives. Only grapes that are hand-harvested are used to make the wine. All of which are selected from high quality single vineyard sites across Colorado and occasionally California. To learn more about our winemaking philosophy, please visit our history page.

    • 2019 Carignan

    • $34.00
    • This Carignan was aged in neutral American oak barrels. Fresh out of the bottle it shows tart plum and raspberry on the nose. As it opens up though the fruit moves more towards a dried or candied fruit with a touch of baking spice. The mouthfeel is very juicy and bursting with cranberry and red flavors. It has a good tannin structure that balances the fruit and riper qualities of the wine beautifully. We personally enjoy these riper styles of wine when they are younger (between 1 and 5 years of age) as they really highlight the bursting fruit flavors and lovely smooth tannin structure.

    • 2018 Colorado Zinfandel | (Black Vineyard)

    • $32.00
    • The new vintage of Black Zinfandel is a great example of the elegant side of the varietal. There's plenty of fruit, but it maintains a vibrant, exuberant freshness that's often absent in large production examples. Further, it has a subtle tangy spice character that makes it an interesting choice for food pairing. Don't worry though, it tastes great on its own too! This might be the most approachable, easy drinking Zin we've produced so far.

    • While some Grenache can be quite rugged, this vintage embraces the more elegant side of the varietal. Light bodied, yet complex, this has expressive and refined notes of dark cherry, baking spice and rose petal. On the palate, the wine is graceful with gentle tannins and beautifully integrated acidity.

Aromatically, it leaps from the glass with notes of black cherry and ripe plum. There's a subtle minerality on the finish, which is an interesting contrast to the fruit character.

    • Overall, this Merlot is exceptionally balanced and layered with plenty of great depth and structure. Slightly less juicy than our other Merlots, the BBO has more dried fruit character. Dried cherry, plum and a subtle spice all make this an amazing wine for grilled foods. With the right dish, this wine comes alive and is truly something to experience. We can't wait to see how it develops in the coming years.
