WHITE WINES (ORANGE WINE)

Our white wines are especially unique and made in a natural and historic style now known as “orange wine”. They are fermented on the skins (like a red wine) which imparts a rich, deep color and flavor. This method of winemaking creates white wines that wines are very different than typical whites normally encounter.

Orange Wine – although delicious and unique – does not taste like a typical white wine. We urge you to visit our tasting room to learn more and taste these wines before purchase.

2017 Colorado Muscat (Bookcliff Vineyard)

This Muscat was made in our traditional “orange” style with one exception. Instead of fermenting on the skin for the majority of the fermentation, we pressed it off a bit earlier. This led to a ridiculously fruity, delicious and easy drinking Muscat that is hard to beat in this warm weather.

Muscat is known for it’s amazing aromatics, and this is no exception. Beautifully layered notes of orange blossom, meyer lemon, honeysuckle and white grape fill out the nose. On the palate, there’s a slight richness but finishes with a clean, crisp citrus note.

2017 Colorado Sauvignon Blanc (Avant Vineyard)

This was the very first vintage of Sauvignon Blanc we ever produced. Fermented on the skins and then manually pressed with a basket press, this refreshing wine has plenty of energy and focus. The zippy acidity that once dominated the wine in it’s youth has now softened with age. It’s beautifully textured with notes of bees wax and white pear.

$40.00 $32.00
2018 Colorado Riesling (Horse Mountain Vineyard)

Ripe lychee fruit aromas lead you into the sweet, yet refreshing palate while the finish lingers with a citrus lemon note that is utterly delightful.

$26.00
2018 Colorado Chardonnay (Talbott)

This gorgeous Chard strikes a balance between the unique “orange” wine style we are known for, and the more traditional trappings of a new world Chardonnay. Full bodied with a touch of tannin, it’s an enticing wine full of baked apple, honey and orchard fruit flavors.

$32.00
2018 Colorado Viognier (Talbott Vineyard)

Viognier is the perfect varietal to ferment as an “Orange Wine” because the extended skin contact only accentuates the full and rich body the grape is already known for. Structured and fruit forward, this Viognier has notes of honey, stone fruit and tropical flavors.

$26.00
2018 Colorado Orange Muscat (Talbott Vineyard)

This is a very rich and powerful Orange Muscat that shows off plenty of intensity and structure. Yet, it remains playful in spirit with a touch of sweetness and mouthwatering fruit flavors. It’s delicious and great to pair with everything from spicy foods to dessert.

RED WINES

We focus on the production of natural red wines from single vineyards across Colorado. When viewing the list below, you will find the name of the grape varietal aswell as the particular vineyard site that it is grown at. Unlike many wineries, we prefer to keep these vineyards separate so that the terroir can be understood.

2018 American Sangiovese

This 2018 is surely one of our favorite vintages of Sangiovese in recent memory. Immensely expressive aromas with notes of fresh cream, red berry fruit and dark cherry. Layer after layer of ripe fruit please the palate, while a long smooth (creamy) finish gives balance to an otherwise fruit dominant wine. Though quite young, the use of new American Oak barrels has given this a sense of poise and balance rarely seen at this stage.

$34.00
2018 Colorado Zinfandel (Black Vineyard)

The new vintage of Black Zinfandel is a great example of the elegant side of the varietal. There’s plenty of fruit, but it maintains a vibrant, exuberant freshness that’s often absent in large production examples. Further, it has a subtle tangy spice character that makes it an interesting choice for food pairing. Don’t worry though, it tastes great on it’s own too! This might be the most approachable, easy drinking Zin we’ve produced so far.

$32.00
2018 American Grenache

While some Grenache can be quite rugged, this vintage embraces the more elegant side of the varietal. Light bodied, yet complex, this has expressive and refined notes of dark cherry, baking spice and rose petal. On the palate, the wine is graceful with gentle tannins and beautifully integrated acidity.

$36.00 $28.00
2017 American GSM Blend

A rustic blend of 37% Grenache, 24% Syrah, 39% Mourvedre that balances both “New” and “Old” World flavors. On the nose there’s an interesting contrast between notes of leather, cinnamon and fresh strawberry. It’s certainly a bold wine but the tannins are gentle and balanced.

$32.00
2017 Colorado Tempranillo (Talbott Vineyard)

The new vintage showcases everything we love about Tempranillo grapes. Full on flavor yet pure, this wine remains easy drinking and fresh. Aromatically, it leaps from the glass with notes of black cherry and ripe plum. There’s a subtle minerality on the finish, which is an interesting contrast to the fruit character.

$34.00
2017 Colorado Syrah (Avant Vineyard)

A wine of serious structure and depth, this new Syrah is everything we love about the varietal. It’s rich and full bodied with plenty of dark fruit character that makes it a perfect pairing for red meat. Though this wine spent time in a new barrel, there’s still plenty of herbal spice notes that seem to amplify as the wine gets air – a hint as to how this bottle may develop in the cellar.

$36.00
2018 Colorado Malbec (Avant Vineyard)

This is not your average Malbec! The incredibly deep and mesmerizing color immediately pulls you into the glass, where intense flavors of cassis, blackberry and spice are generously unveiled. Powerful and distinguished, this is a serious wine that demands attention.

$32.00
2018 Brother's Cabernet Sauvignon

Brother’s is back!  An exceptional vintage of Brother’s Cab! This delicious Lodi grown Cabernet is full of classic flavors of red currant, plum and blackberry flavors. It also has plenty of spice with green peppercorn/ tomato leaf aromas. On the palate, it’s reserved yet balanced with a terrific acidity and tannin.

$36.00
2016 Colorado Cabernet Sauvignon (Mendenhall)

Sourced from a small “old vine”, dry-farmed vineyard, this Cab has a powerful presence to say the least. Dark and brooding with flavors of elderberry and stewed fruit, the oak brings a round texture and smooth, lush mouthfeel.

$60.00
2017 Colorado Cabernet Franc (Beach House Vineyard)

A bold, yet earthy expression of Cab Franc that demonstrates classic traits of the varietal. It’s easy drinking with a soft mouthfeel and approachable tannins. A touch of brambleberry character on the palate belies the herbal,
green pepper spice showcased in the aromas.

$30.00
2018 Colorado Petit Verdot (CVS Vineyard)

Dark and sumptuous, this Petit Verdot has beautiful concentration and length. Violets, black cherry and subtle spice round out the aromas with a terrific finish.
