It’s starting! We just bottled our first wines from the 2019 vintage including Sangiovese, the Wine of the Month for August. We’re excited to see these new 2019 wines roll out! Honestly, it’s one of our most intriguing vintages in recent memory and what better way than to kick it off with the 2019 American Sangiovese!

Unlike most Sangiovese on the market, our rendition is made completely naturally without sulfites or additives. Instead of using new oak, we prefer to use seasoned barrels that are more neutral. This lets you really taste the intensity of the fruit (which this vintage has plenty of). We also like to bottle Sangiovese early to capture the young, fresh quality that is so delicious in the summer.

Right from the start, this wine explodes from the glass with bright and bouncy aromas of cherry and candied fruit. On the palate there is incredible body and intensity, yet it somehow remains balanced and smooth. Although this wine was just recently bottled, it’s already confident and expressive now. Pair this with everything from grilled fare to Italian cuisine… You won’t be disappointed!
